The Prague International Airport main Terminal hall features a Duran Audio Octavox system which had been installed in 1997. The system has been running without problems until 2005.
In 2005, problems with the automatic volume control occured.

performed a general service for the entire system. The Octavox controllers, all external filtering devices, the entire cabling to the loudspeakers and the loudspeakers themselves were inspected, measured and serviced. Specifically for this purpose, a free line on the existing multicore was prepared to send measurement signals to the control room which was not possible otherwise.

The automatic volume control and the analogue filtering devices were replaced, a simple volume control limited to +/-3dB range was installed for fault-free operation. The new Symetrix filters were tuned for optimum frequency response.
