Voov Experience since 2007 "VuuV-The Transformation"Services: Sound Design, Measurement & Tuning
The Voov Experience Festival is a yearly Goa-Festival with approximately 10.000 guests, taking place on various sites between Berlin and Hamburg.
The organizers of the Festival turned to
PAM events GmbH (a Berlin rental company with good credits in the techno scene) after some rather unsatisfying experiences with other sound systems.
At that time still working for PAM events GmbH, Jakob Kraft designed a special sound system for the event which focuses less on maximum SPL but rather on transparency and clarity. The system consisted of a main system with four towers and a ground support with 16 more speaker positions, enhanced by a central bass-cluster.
After some doubts while building the system for the first time, the ground support for the speakers quickly became a unique trademark of the event. Since then, the Voov Experience has a worldwide reputation in the scene of enjoying one of the very best sound systems.
Over the years, the system was further refined and enhanced. Probably the most important improvement was the change from analogue crossovers to the HUGO controllers with FIR filters, giving the system more punch, headroom and clarity while making the system safer at the same time.
The system now consists of:
- 24 x Martin Audio FSX
- 40 x Martin Audio F2B
- 28 x Martin Audio F2 Top (combi)
- 8 x Intersonics SDL BT 7 "Motor Bass"
Up to now, Jakob Kraft supervises the sound system, now with the help of
Anselm Goertz who designed the HUGO controllers. PAM events still provides all equipment and personnel for the system. Besides the excellent results, the system proves every year that the Martin F2 system is anything but outdated.
Every year, many guests come explicitly for to listen to the unique sound system which surely is one of the reasons for the ongoing success of the festival.
